The Chickasaw County Genealogical Society has long published surname reference information in our quarterly newsletters for our members and it has proven to be a very useful aide to researchers. Here on our Website, spotting a potential cousin and getting in contact with them is only an e-mail message away!

If you would like to post the Chickasaw County surnames you are working on, please follow these instructions:

1. (Click on the e-mail icon to pop-up a pre-addressed message)
2. Type your surname(s) in UPPERCASE
3. For the more common names (ie. SMITH, JONES, ANDERSON) it would be good to include a given name (lower case for given names please)
4. Provide your name, as you would like it to appear in the middle column, on the register

Notify me if your e-mail address has changed so we can keep this information current.  Just use the above e-mail link to send me your new address, so people will be able to reach you.  Entries with e-mail addresses that are found to be invalid will be deleted.

Unlike automatic Message Boards, this is a manual process, so I will try to do updates twice per month.
