Tilda ANNETT Rites

Mrs Tilda ANNETT, 80, died Tuesday, October 10, at her home.  Funeral services were held at 1:30pm Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Churchwith the pastor, Rev Bernard OEBSER, officiating. Ruth Ann UPHAM was soloist and Dorothy STOLZ was organist.  Hymn selections included “Rock of Ages” and “Abide with Me”.  Interment was in the New Hampton Cemetery with neighbors Lando MISHAK, James WILSON, Harold HEYING, Robert DEE, William MANDERFIELD and Vic DeBETTIGNIES serving as casketbearers.

Tilda Elizabeth GORDON was born January 22, 1898 in Chickasaw County, the daughter of John and Ingeborg (NUNDAHL THRONDSON) GORDON.  She attended the rural schools and the Iowa School for the Deaf at Council Bluffs.

She was united in marriage May 18, 1936 in Manchester to Lloyd Densmore ANNETT.  The couple had lived in New Hampton since their marriage.

Mrs ANNETT is survived by a daughter, Mrs Carl (Thelma) HESSE, Cedar Falls; a grandson, Thomas John Carl HESSE; and a sister, Mrs Irene ATTLESON, New Hampton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd, on November 7, 1973; five brothers, Andrew, Alfred, Edward, Clarence and John GORDON, and one sister, Carrie.
