The cemetery was platted at Nashua 17 Feb 1877 and is 2 acres in size.  It is located on a hill sloping west.  The cemetery is well kept by the Mount Carroll Cemetery Association.

It was platted into blocks 16 x 20 feet square, each containing 2 burial lots 10 x 16 ft.   The blocks are 20 ft north and south.  The arrows indicate burial row alignment.

Mount Carroll Cemetery Association was organized September 18, 1886 with eight incorporators consisting of:
